Attention Cyberpanel Users :: Possible vulnerability leading to root compromise

Today we got a trial signup where the user complains about abnormal CPU usage We took a quick look into the server and found a known Crypto mining malware which was running as root. Based on the primary analysis we suspected the hack was uploaded via some vulnerability in the control panel daemon but we do not have a proof about this. But there are more users affected by this ( https://community.cyberpanel.net/t/u...or-404/56040/8 ). There were similar incidents happened with one of our other users as well who has signed up recently. So we recommend all Cyberpanel users to secure their control panel login and all related access ASAP until there is an official update from Cyberpanel about this.
