I usually roll my own servers, but needed a quick virtual server in Jacksonville, Florida.

After extremely overarching verification demands from a not so Premium Tech company (cough, cough), fortunately, I discovered shockhosting.com. [ I would have found them sooner if they participated here, and I've told them that! :-) ]

They do (have been for a while now and they’re pretty active too), so I can’t help but wonder how you missed them for so long — and agree that this sounds more like advertisement.
