Thread: Looking for managed HighAvailability in Germany

Hello,

I am looking for a german provider that offers HA managed servers/clusters.

Unfortunately I was not really successful in finding something suitable. All managed servers seems to lack HighAvailability.

Requirements:

- LAMP
- HighAvailability with multiple servers(failover) or cloud clustered
- Zero downtimes even when updating server software
- Fully managed
- Galera or master/slave mariaDB replication

- German datacenter
- Not too small company (that won't possibly exist some years later)
- 24/7 support


Maybe someone has a good advise/tip ?

Hello.
In most cases, managed or unmanaged dedicated servers lack high availability and configuring failover clusters is most often a custom task. You should check the availability of such a service with the support or sales department of your chosen hosting provider.

A good solution to your request may be an HA Cluster based on Proxmox with convenient mechanisms for replicating virtual machines between servers in a cluster, the ability to use virtual routers, a segmented local isolated network between virtual machines. Another option is, of course, a private cloud, for example based on Apache CloudStack or a similar product.

Please clarify, by fully managed you mean that the hosting provider will perform tasks on setup, administration, management, and support of servers and applications?

I use dedicated server from these German folks. Great servers, price and service. hetzner dot com

What you are looking for is a custom setup that most providers can do but comes with a cost.

What is your budget?

If budget allows - hire system administrator, who can build it for you, monitor and support it.
For Germany I would go with Hetzner as datacenter - they have enough tools and technologies to help you build what you need.
