SSDNodes Sydney location upstream provider BANKRUPT !
Server down for 12 hours now with no restoration ETA ! Ticket raised, still awaiting reply with ETA or solution.
Completely preventable outage that has been mismanaged.
This email was received 2 days ago. No date/time given to manage the outage.
"We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you about an urgent development that affects the SSD Nodes network in the Sydney location.
Due to the recent bankruptcy of Edgio, our upstream provider in this specific location, we are taking immediate action to transition away from the Edgio to ensure the security and continuity of your services. Our top priority during this process is safeguarding your data and minimizing any potential disruption to your services.
As part of this emergency transition, there will be a change to the IP addresses associated with your services. While we understand this change may cause inconvenience, it is an unavoidable step to maintain service reliability and security in light of the current circumstances.
What You Need to Know:
Action Being Taken: Immediate migration away from Edgio’s network.
Impact: Change in the IP addresses associated with your services.
Your Data: Rest assured that securing and preserving your data is our top priority.
Please note that once the issue is resolved - hopefully in a matter of days -, you will have the option to move back to your original Sydney location, as well as to get your same previous IP.
We are working around the clock to ensure a seamless transition. We will update you again once the process is streamlined and we are ready for the big leap. In the meantime, if you want us to migrate your server to any location outside Sydney immediately, do let us know and we will start that without further delay. If you have any questions, need assistance updating DNS records, or require further clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team via a ticket.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this unexpected situation. Thank you for trusting SSD Nodes."
This is extremely disappointing as we have paid for multiple years and now need to find alternative provider as outages of 12 hours or greater that are not planned displays poor quality and service management.

We have a weekly backup but since we had no notification of prior outage, we didn't get a chance to perform latest backup. Also we have some minor websites who host low volume email which is down and causing issues.

Probably time to look at AWS or Azure, starting to loose faith in these smaller providers.

Luckily I migrated away as soon as I received their first email.
Contabo offers similar pricing. Maybe you should look at them.
SSDNodes put my servers now in Europe and have no idea when they can be back to Australia.

Yep same happened to us. I had to contact them twice and they offered to move back but they are not in a rush. It means another large outage.
