Apr 15 11:10:37 EDT 2010: I request my server admin to update my server by installing suphp, mod_security and upgrade apache. I went to sleep.

Apr 16 00:32:33 EDT 2010: By the time I woke up I saw my admin replied 2 hours after I submit my ticket confirmed the process has been completed. I was at joy knowing my server is not secured.

Apr 16 01:59:41 EDT 2010 : Tried to access my sites and NONE of them are online. Tried to see if I can access my WHM but failed. It seems the server is down. I went to submit a ticket requesting reboot to my DC and they did. After a while, server back offline. This is weird so I request for reboot again and submit a ticket to my admin about this and they went to investigate.

Apr 16 13:47:00 EDT 2010: My admin said the server is unaccessible so they can't start investigating. I submitted another reboot request. Confirmed that server is back online, I inform my admin.

Apr 16 14:27:36 EDT 2010: Admin says still cannot access the server.

Ok, this is tiring. Reason I subscribe for server administration is for them to try solving issues within my server. I lives in Asia, different timezone from both admins and DC. I submit a ticket, it took 20 minutes to 2 hours to get a reply and that really slowed things a lot.

My server is still down. DC replied they think my server got SYN FLOOD. The main way to solve this is to wait for the attacker to stop.....BUT WHEN?? Is there a way to fix this? I can't afford for my server to be offline too long. This really frustrating. Can someone suggest me the best way to fix this?

Admin says they can't fix the server if it is offline, DC said server is rebooted but it went down a few minutes later. So, wth should I do? Please help me.

I'm sorry if I sound rude, I just want to get opinion and suggestion from you guys here. This is my first time having this problem and hoping someone could help me. I am not trying to say my admin and my DC is bad. I just don't know what to do. I thought an admin will liaise with the DC directly without me even have to be the middle man.
